For those of you who have asked, this is the gear that BETTY uses. Most of it comes from Rolls Music in Virginia, a great store with A friendly, knowledgable, pro-chick-rockerz staff that we LOVE! www.rollsmusic.com or call 1-800-336-0199.

Remember, whether you're playing an $11,000 instrument or beating on a aluminum can, it's talent and sweat that make the sound. The only way to Carnegie Hall is PRACTICE (...and a buck fifty on the subway to 57th Street...)

ALYSON's gear:

  • "Butterwood", her primary bass: a long-scale, 4-string, pre-Kramer Spector with EMG pick-ups

  • GK 700 kickback Bass Amp (with a PanAm Stewardess Handle!)
