The Music:

SNOWBIZ - December 2004.

After years of friends, fans and family noodging BETTY to record some of the band's holiday classics, "Snowbiz" has finally happened. The album is thirteen original songs and stories full of soaring harmonies, crushing seasonal disappointment and the redemptive hope of a brand new year. Share it with pals as you sob in your eggnog. BETTY did. Featured musical guests are Gloria Steinem, Allison Miller, Genya Ravan and producer Mike Thorne on keys and Mechanical Man vocals. Brilliant musicianship is provided by BETTY's hunky backing band, Tony Salvatore on guitar and Mino Gori on drums.

BETTY Rules: The Original Cast Recording - January 2004

After harmonizing punk, pop and politics for close to two decades, BETTY releases the album from the most critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway show of the season. Directed by Michael Greif (RENT), this theatrical event of high-powered music, high-octane personalities and wild tales from the dark side of fame rocked the roof off New York's Zipper Theatre for over seven months.

"BETTY RULES: one of the very best Off-Broadway plays this season. As thoughtful as it is fun...their harmonies are gorgeous."
Bruce Weber, New York Times

"The most innovative rock autobio since 'A Hard Day's Night'. Lively, candid, funny and electric."
Donald Lyons, New York Post

"BETTY RULES is joyous, humorous and entirely engaging. Deftly directed by Michael Greif (Rent), the fast-paced show is part rock concert, part tell-all memoir and all fun."
Robert Domiunguez, NY Daily News

"I love BETTY! They have more balls than any boy band I know."
Alan Cumming

"BETTY is three women singing their own songs with heart, humor, activism, attitude and, dare I say, genius."
Gloria Steinem

"So joyously captivating, you'll ovulate!"
Lily Tomlin

"A whirling dervish of amazing music and comedy!"
Kathy Najimy

CARNIVAL - Feb. 29, 2000.
This 30-minute concept CD spins the listener on a day at the Carnival through the highs and lows, the frenzy and stillness, the joy and confusion that is BETTY. Great music, evocative lyrics and spoken word mix to create Mayhem on the Midway on this highly addictive disc.
Advises Elizabeth, "To get the complete experience, listen to the whole thing in its entirety, in the dark, alone, naked." Alyson agrees, except for the naked part.
Amy rolls her eyes.

BETTY3 - 1999.
The CD begins with the anthemic "It Girl" and doesn't let up until the abrupt final chord of "Lucy". BETTY's most rockin' album, the songs are enhanced by superbly talented guest musicians like Alison Cornell on "Naughty Nadia", taking time off from playing viola on the Shania Twain tour, Keith Carlock from Steely Dan's latest album on drums and percussion and the ever-melodic and perfectly manly Tony Salvatore on guitars.

LIMBOLAND - 1995.
The album with the hits "Flick That Thing" (the theme song to HBO's "Real Sex") and "Atypical Love" (from the Miramax Film "The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love". This album was the first to use other musicians on many of the tracks including a smoking quartet on the bluesy "Metro"; Tony Salvatore's insistent guitar, Hook Herrera's passionate harmonica, Dave Lisles driving drums and Alyson playing her "favorite bass line of all time. Every note reminds me of Paris!"
Elizabeth shudders at the bald pretention of that statement.
Amy smiles upside down and exhales slightly out of her nose.

HELLO, BETTY - 1992.
21 songs and pieces long, this is BETTY's first album. Produced by Mike Thorne, this CD has more a'cappella and spoken word than any of the other recordings. "Ladybug" and "Echo" were used on the HBO series, "Encyclopedia". The songs on this disc are classics that have been performed by the band all over the world since they formed BETTY in1986. "This is great music," smiles Amy, "wonderful, timeless songs that we've sung so many damn times that we're never singing them again. You HAVE to buy the CD if you want to hear them."
Alyson and Elizabeth laugh uproariously.
