The Unsinkable BETTY
The first studio album released by the legendary cult band in three years, "Bright & Dark" is BETTY's most accessible pop project to date. Through the process of writing and recording this album, lifelong friends and collaborators BETTY cemented their bond by taking the creative journey from the darkness of Elizabeth's struggle through breast cancer to a cathartic place of love hope and brightness. Like BETTY itself, the result is a fun, sexy, sad, hard-hitting, dramatic, fierce, tongue-in-cheek pop contradiction ...you can dance to.  Produced by David Maurice (Garbage, Kerli), with Kate Pierson (the B-52's) as standout guest vocalist, songs from "Bright & Dark" have been placed on Showtime TV's The L Word and ABC's monster hit Ugly Betty.

Of all the songs on the album, A Fix Of You is a reflection of the frightening medical journey the band undertook.  Although the song was written as a love ode by Elizabeth before her diagnosis, the desire for togetherness in the darkest of times and the bright hope that the creation of a family can bring, regardless of blood and actual genetic ties, is celebrated in the reassuring and cathartic coda, "everything is going be alright".  The song is proving to be a favorite with concert audiences around the world during this globally stressful Summer of '09.

Other summer festival hits are Did U Tell Her and the oft-requested Paris club sensation, My Baby, often paired live with the perennially BETTY favorite Theme From The L Word.

Although the album's official release party is in September, Bright & Dark is a delicious treat already satisfying long-time fans and newcomers worldwide.  Once again, the unsinkable BETTY has proven

BETTY rules.
