Tomorrow, we head to Miami for a show. We haven't been playing with the full band, so I am thrilled to be full-on rockin' it again with the guys. It's been so fun playing all over the world with Amy and Elizabeth, especially after all that's happened. I think we appreciate each other more and aren't caring as much about the insignificant details. It's cool to be able to toss some frillies into the rollerboard and hop on a plane to a train to a new village and sing our hearts out. But to have the whole band every once in awhile it to have the whole family. I just love it. Especially since so many new folks appear to be digging our music. It's is - as Marilyn McCoo would say - a stone groove. I am so thankful to the Universe for this time. xox

Last night, a massive electrical storm rolled over Manhattan. At 2am, the unimaginable happened. For five full seconds, there was absolute, eerie silence. In a city of over 8 million people, that’s as rare as blue cheese tap-dancing down from the sky. Not a car alarm sounded, no sirens, no staggering footsteps accompanying a boozy mobile phone call, no birds, no wind, nothing but a long, breathless moment. Then, a distant smell, acrid and sharp, oozed through the window. A low sizzle began, as if the edges of the sky were burning to a crisp. Finally… >ka-POW!< an atomic bomb of lighting shattered the silence into fragments that echoed as they fell directly over the Lower East Side. I remembered at that moment that I was one small being, with miniscule problems, here for a very short time, at the mercy of forces that grow only more strange and powerful over time.
Sort of like BETTY.
I am very happy to be here, very thankful for all I continue to learn, even though it can be a royal pain to get the lesson.
I wish you all the very best love,
xox
